The Induction Furnace is the advanced version of the Electric Furnace. It has the ability to process 2 stacks of items simultaneously. Doing so will also save 50% of the energy that would have been used had every stack been smelted by itself.
If you apply a Redstone signal to it, it will continuously build up the heat needed for smelting with 100% heat, consuming EU in the process. However this is a very small amount (1 EU/t) while just maintaining the heat, so the EU cost can easily be covered with 2-3 Solar Panels. (1 Solar Panel produces enough EU to maintain 100% heat without any energy lost but will lose energy if items are smelted. If this method is used, it is recommended to have a BatBox or MFE)
First, the Induction Furnace is supplied with EU. Note that the Induction Furnace can only accept LV or MV EU sources. Then, the items that are being smelted are placed in the top slots. The processed items appear in the two slots on the right side. During its operation, the Induction Furnace will build up heat, up to the 100% level. As the heat level rises items are smelted faster. When idle, the heat will slowly dissipate back to 0%. Providing a Redstone signal to the Induction Furnace will maintain the heat level at 100%, which is good because the Induction Furnace takes a while to heat up. It will consume 1 EU/t while maintaining 100% heat. While building up heat it consumes the same amount of EU as it does when smelting.
To use a filter with the Induction Furnace, the raw material must first be filtered in from the top, as filtering it from the side will cause the materials to go into the product slot. The Induction Furnace should therefore be loaded from the top

Since the Induction Furnace does not have upgrade slots for Transformer Upgrades, Overclockers, or Energy Storage Upgrades, it is impossible to feed 512 EU/t (HV current) into it without the machine exploding. It can however handle MV.
