Flint and Steel is a Vanilla tool used for many purposes, like for lighting blocks on fire by right-clicking, or igniting TNT by right-clicking. It loses durability with every use.
Flint and Steel is used best when combined with Netherrack, because Netherrack allows the fire to burn infinitely.
Passive Mobs which drop items like Raw Beef, Raw Chicken, and Raw Porkchop will drop the cooked version of the food if they are killed by fire.

- Crafting two Flint and Steels together in the top and bottom left squares of the Crafting Grid, regardless of Damage Values, will always produce a new Flint and Steel, without any damage values.
